Hi! I’m Cara and I can cook!
I’ve had a winding career path – from astrophysics PhD candidate, to high school science and math teacher, to software research engineer, to now FOOD EDUCATOR.
Cooking is my happy place –
Favorite Meal? a summer ratatouille where I’ve picked almost every ingredient from my garden – it’s simple, hearty, and sentimental
Sweet or Savory? yes – I don’t have a huge sweet tooth, but I think some of the best meals incorporate both
Cooking “Hot Take”? recipes are over-rated – the goal of any home chef should be to get comfortable enough with their food that they’re pretty much always winging it
